M24 - Sagittarius Star Cloud

 

This rich region of the Milky Way has its own Messier designation - M24.
It is one of the few Messier objects that is not an actual galaxy, nebula, or star cluster.

The larger dark nebula upper left of center is B92 (LDN 323); the smaller dark nebula below it is B93 (LDN 327). The red nebula near the right center is IC 1284.
