NGC 5746 - Edge-On Spiral Galaxy in Virgo

NGC 5746 is an edge-on spiral galaxy that is approximately 95 million light years away in the constellation of Virgo. The central area appears to be somewhat squared. This may indicate that 5745 is a barred spiral.

The small spiral galaxy at the upper left is NGC 5740.
