M23 - Open Cluster in Sagittarius

M23 was discovered by Charles Messier in 1764. It is 2,150 light years away and is considered to be a relatively old cluster. It it estimated to be 220-300 million years old.

Sky-Watcher 100ED refractor

Camera: Modified Canon T4i (650D); ISO 800; Raw capture
Mount:  Orion Sirius
Guiding: SSAG on 50mm StellarVue finder scope
Exposures: 6 @ 3minutes
Processing: Images were focused using Live View. They were converted to tiff files in Canon Digital Photo Professional before being aligned and combined in ImagesPlus. The composite was adjusted in Photoshop. Noise was reduced using Topaz DeNoise.
