NGC 6231 and Vicininity

The open star cluster at lower center is NGC 6231. It is commonly known as the Northern Jewel Box. The emission nebula at the upper left is IC 4628.

Mount: Orion Sirius guided with SSAG on 50mm scope
Camera:  Modified Canon 650D; raw capture; ISO 1600
Exposures: 3 @ 5 min.
Note: Taken at the Nebraska Star Party (Merritt Reservoir) on 7/12/15. This object was only about 5 degrees above the horizon. A sudden rain shower prevented me from taking any additional exposures.
